GDC 2008

I'll be heading to the Game Developer's Conference on Monday to deliver the 2008 version of my Creativity Boot Camp. In one shape or another, this marks the ninth year I've delivered a creativity workshop, and each year I find new discoveries as I plan for the session.

This year, I'm really focusing on how clearly identifying the constraints to a problem can increase your creative effectiveness. Limitations narrow focus and provide the fertile ground for new, creative associations to be made. The more limits, the more opportunities for creativity.

This year, I'll be working through a number of group exercises that should hammer this point home and provide some hard evidence for the attendees.
